From the first frame to the last, director Pankaj Saraswat with his storytelling skills tells us not to take things too seriously in this adventure comedy. When it comes to the laugh department, silly
gags will touch your funny bone. Also, the comedy of errors brings an interesting element to the narrative. However, apart from these ha-ha scenes, the film’s story has no meat. Also, things get repetitive when Saraswat tries to extract some juice from the wafer thin plot. A slightly crisper text would have raised the fun quote several notches.
In the year After making his Bollywood debut in 2017 with Habib Faisal’s music drama Kaidi Band, Aadhaar Jain will be making a comeback on screen with Hello Charlie. While the boy still has a long way to go in his acting career, his comic timing is promising.
Jackie Shroff’s swag is on point and as Toto, he delivers a plateful of entertainment to the audience. Elnaz Norouzi’s femme fatale act works well for the film. Debutante Shlokaa Pandit doesn’t quite make the mark as a circus dancer and Charlie’s love interest. The rest of the cast including Rajapal Yadav, Darshan Jariwala, Siddhanth Kapoor and others have given decent performances.
Outdoor family fun, a must see with kids sure to love this one. Yes Mindless Logic is a less funny movie but still the work is done for the maker. Recommended for children.
