Naina Jaiswal is a dedicated teacher at the Little Dots play school in Colaba, a neighborhood in Mumbai, India. She has been on leave for three weeks for an unknown reason, but has returned to the school on this particular day. The school is located in the front portion of a property owned by Rohit Mirchandani, Naina’s fiancé, who also lives on the same property.

As the day begins, the parents of the children attend the school to drop off their kids. Naina approaches one of the parents and requests that they send a cake, as she has just remembered that it is their daughter, Niharika’s, birthday the next day. She asks if their driver could deliver the cake to the school.

Everyone leaves the premises, and something seems to snap inside Naina. A sense of anger and determination overtakes her, and she becomes determined to set things right. She calls the Colaba police station and informs them that she has taken 16 children hostage and will not release them until her demands are met.

Just then, Niharika’s driver arrives with the cake, and the school’s helper, Savitri, also returns to the school to retrieve her phone which she had forgotten. Both of them are taken captive by Naina, who has no other choice.

The police respond to the call and arrive at the school to assess the situation. They are not sure if the call was a prank or if there is truly a hostage situation unfolding. Naina fires a shot to let the authorities know that she is serious and means business.

The police are able to locate Rakesh Mathur, but they are unable to find Charan Kumar.

No one knows Naina’s ultimate plan, and Javed Khan and his team have no choice but to comply with her demands because the children’s lives are still at risk. Catherine, meanwhile, conducts a background check on Naina and discovers that she has been taking antidepressants and visiting a psychologist since the age of 16. Catherine searches Naina’s house and finds receipts for the medicine prescribed by a Dr. Juneja.
